“Your viewpoint determines the future”-Excerpt

John Adams, ‘four myths of nature’ and ‘four myths of human nature’ displays the way people view the earth. In addition, these myths show how people’s beliefs would categorize them when dealing with the issue of Global Warming. It is a part of human nature for people not to share the same ideas for everything. Therefore, John Adams shows these differences in his myths and graphs.
Some people believe that humans are the one’s harming the earth and causing climate change. So, it is our responsibility to take action to prevent the worst outcomes predicted for the future, from occurring. Meanwhile, other people believe that humans are not responsible for climate change and as a result should not have to worry about other people’s opinions about it. People may believe that the earth can handle any type of weather and can prepare for the worst. The opposite belief may be that earth is a sensitive place that cannot handle too many effects that takes place when nature is out of balance.
There are quite a few people who have not yet discovered the real truth behind global warming. For this reason these people still have not developed their stance on the issue of climate change. A person therefore, still questions how people should look at the future and tries to follow the information recorded on the effects of global warming. A person takes what they know from culture and their surroundings to find the difference between the right and wrong of this issue. John Adams reveals the view points of others to see how people have taken action against climate change, and who will further take action; also to see how many people are not affected by climate change at all.
